not, as a guy, that I mind this so much, but sometimes one has to sacrifice one's own self-interest. I hesitate to do anything to stop the clandestine pictures of boobies popping up for assessment afafafafaf, and curtail the possibility of bum photos  :lickass:, but, it's not just a guys forum and maybe it's a bit offensive to be judging Chinese girls and ladies bodies on the internet, who surely didn't agree to have their picture taken for that purpose. bibibibibi I'm not saying I mind it personally, like I might not mind at all having my own harem and whatnot, but, I want to live in a fair and civilized world and sometimes that means giving up some privileges (while also getting some back  zzzzzzzzzz acacacacac).

 :wtf:
suddenly it become more of a statement to NOT have a tattoo…

Maybe the males don't wear interesting T-shirts?

I was thinking about that the other day. Not sure of the reason.

The majority of students who study English are female - there are only 2 males in my classes this year - but there is no doubt that the English statements on their T-shirts are far and away more likely to be problematic.

I sometimes think it is a case of fashion sense overcoming common sense.

It does, however, highlight a problem found in the classroom; students may master the meaning of many words, but when those words are combined in a sentence there is often a lack of comprehension. That situation is compounded by idiomatic usage and further exacerbated by statements capable of bearing more than one meaning.

Males anywhere are more conservative on the rare occasions they bother buying clothes. They tend to buy a label T-shirt that identifies with a sport and the name of a team or player is well known to them. Just about the only memorable T-shirt worn by a male that I have seen this year is in the movie 'Notting Hill.'

Males might be thick as two bricks, and English- challenged, but not too many would make the mistake of wearing this T-shirt:

Well put.  bjbjbjbjbj And when the guys DO where them, Igadz I can't stand it when they where the "HUG AND KISS" T-shirts. It's one thing when it's about the Chinglish, but when it's just about the breasts and the shirts don't really matter anymore, maybe a line is being crossed and people could be a little more sensitive about it. I for one wouldn't post pics of my students… so people could check out their cup sizes. But if it's just the Chinglish, I'm a huge fan of those shirts.

PROGRESS REPORT: Nothing to report really. Yesterday I spent a few hours in downtown streets and came up with zilch in terms of really interesting T-shirt statements.

I blame Foreign Teachers for this worrying trend. Obviously their efforts in the classroom are starting to undermine a whole industry.

There remain, of course, many examples of T-shirts shot through with spelling mistakes and errors of grammar. Instead of carrying my camera maybe I should just take a red marker pen with me and do some correcting in situ.

While I was reflecting on all of this a question occurred to me:

Have you ever wondered what a T-shirt would look like if it had no sleeves or graphics?

Maybe it would look something like this?

Boring. eh  agagagagag

Yes, but where is the mouse?

Let's see - a mouse should be small and fuzzy. . . so, logically . . .

OH yes, I definitely need this laptop! afafafafaf
