Whatever you end up designing, it can't be any worse than this piece of utter crap, which was voted worst website on the planet by Digg users.

In fact, it's almost so bad it's good!!!
It is too early to say.

Yeah, Times New Roman is strictly a document font.  As a header on a website it looks amateurish.

Good Lord!  It looks like a classifieds page in the middle of a National Enquirer.  I kept looking for the penis enlargement ad.

I like b2evolution (for blogs) and Joomla (for CMS) - both, like wordpress, are very versatile, easy to learn with lots of good support and easy to find and follow tutorials and how-to's. And FREE. Not saying they are better, just different.

There is a learning curve, but its not too steep! One of the strengths of the open source blog & CMS programs is the forums where you can find lots of answers while on the learning curve.

Dreamweaver is great for being able to do complex and code-intensive tasks relatively easily for a newbie, but it really is worth learning some coding as you go along. It pays off when you want to do customizing or need to do repairs.

Many hosting companies have a utility called "Fantastico De Luxe" - it's an auto-installer for many OpenSource software products that is bundled into a hosting companies CPanel - the control panel for your site hosting controls.

It's usually a very easy way to install some pretty complex (but free) software.

Some of the programs included:

The kids at school use this free website  http://members.webs.com/index.jsphttp://. I don't know if you can get it in China. I personally use Blogger and Wordpress.

you can get godaddy in china but I wouldn't use them for anything other than domain names! I've been in the webhosting industry long enough to know you just don't keep all your eggs in the same basket.

there are plenty of options out there for free webhosting that are good enough for personal use as well as plenty of online sitebuilding software for basic stuff. Even google offers something along those lines that is quite reliable and hasn't been abused to the point where the great firewall interferes with it.
