Weather Check

It's happened.  The temperature finally broke into the unsurvivable levels.  Water from the sky is no longer liquid.  Instead, it's coming down as white crystals.  It's just a matter of time until everyone here freezes to death.

Woke up to snow on Saturday morning. It was a cold day.

Monday was bloody cold. I walked to class though a mixture of rain and ice crystals trying  to turn into snow.

Teaching 6 periods in unheated classrooms on a day like this becomes a real test of endurance.

I believed Batman got tired of the rain and moved to Hainan...apparently, the rain in HZ will continue for several weeks, according to my students. Stupid, annoying rain dragon is back.....

yeah, seriously, same here in Ningbo, rainging all day every day, bloody miserable to be honest.

I wish it would rain here. It snowed ONCE all winter, and that was back in December. Then the other day it snowed (mixed with rain) for like an hour or two. It is so dry!

On the bright side temps are rising. It has been over 0 for about 2 weeks now and this week it is supposed to around be 8C-9C which is pretty tolerable weather. 

That rain/snow mix the other day actually accumulated a bit north of Beijing. I went to the great wall yesterday with a friend visiting from the US and it was a winter wonderland (complete with basically needed to ski down sections of it). Great fun. Bad luck that she happened to come on the one day in six months it was rainy/drizzly out. Heading to Shanghai tomorrow- to what I assume are bright, sunny, skies for the whole week of the wedding...
