Asking Questions On The Saloon...
« on: July 16, 2011, 05:10:38 PM »
I know many of you, especially those still back home looking things over, have a million burning questions. But I might offer you a bit of helpful advice...keep cool  when posting your questions.

Clogging boards with lots of threads in a short time, or big posts with long lists of questions are going to quickly wear people out; eventually people will stop bothering. WE ARE HERE TO HELP YOU, but please understand that it takes a lot of time and energy to respond to all those rapid-fire questions. In short, please DO ask questions on The Saloon...just please don't ask them all at once. agagagagag

Also, please bear in mind that many newcomer questions are also asked by almost everyone else. Looking for answers already in place here, by using our Search function or by digging deeper to older posts, will always be appreciated, and allow you (and us) to move on to more specific-to-you issues.

This ship has, well, a wicked sensitive crew, and they will eventually run out of patience. We make it a point to try and be kind, patient, and helpful to newcomers (unlike almost every other China EFL/Expat site on the internet), but we ain't Wiki-freakin'-pedia, pal. We're people, and would like to be treated as such.

If you space out your posts a bit, and keep each to only one or two questions, you will get more answers from more people...and those people will provide deeper, more detailed answers.
And people might like you. uuuuuuuuuu
Again, helping newcomers and folks not yet in China is a big part of our mission here, and we do want to help you. Please make it easier for us to do that! bjbjbjbjbj
