That was around midnight in the streets around the school on the outskirts of town. There are people who do live here year round but generally the place empties out in vacations. The city sees more action. Those who stayed around here didn't hang about. They'd step out to light their box of fireworks, then head back inside to watch CCTV.

In years past the place would light up for an hour and be deafeningly loud. Like, so loud, you couldn't talk to someone standing next to you. Then they banned fireworks on the campus. Then fireworks themselves became slightly less of a thing country-wide. Then the weather got less severe. Less and less boom as time goes by.

Fireworks banned on campus? What a world. Football fields are perfect for firework practice. Nice photos, though.
