How Do We Know When Someone Has Blocked Our Telephone Number and Text?

Hi Everyone,

Sometimes, when calling an ex-girlfriend or friend, the recording instantly says, "The Number You Have Dialed Is Busy."

1. In the US, blocked numbers from Nextel actually say, "Sorry, This Call Cannot Be Completed" or something other than the default message. It is clear the number is working, but the person has chosen to block you.

2. Of course, we know on WeChat blocking, that the chat says  "This Message Is Sent But Cannot Be Accepted by the Receiver."

3. What about phone and text messages?

Is it clear if the line of communication is still open or not?

My wife says text messages from a blocked number end up in a "blocked" folder (like a spam folder in email) and she thinks that if they call, they'll get a busy signal.  If you want to verify this, sit down with a friend and test out calling and texting while blocked.
