PT work for non-profit(?) in BEIJING

<I did a bit of further conversation before posting this. It's a part-time job, so it's just straight salary...no visa or benefits, as is normal for part-time work. There is some reason to believe, though, that the hourly rate for this job will be pretty good! It sounds very legitimate so far, but I can't verify the non-profit status. That one will be up to you...>

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic fundamental English instructor for a unique non-profit NGO language training program.

The instructor should be available for a total of 40 hours over a two month period starting at the beginning of August 2007. Classes will be scheduled in the evenings and one day on the weekend with over 50% of the teaching hours being completed in the first month.

We are seeking an instructor who can teach lessons specifically geared at:
- Improving basic pronunciation;
- Eliminating common grammar mistakes;
- Covering some basic day-today conversational English;
- Empowering participants to enjoy speaking English; and
- Balancing a dual-emphasis on accuracy and fluency in English communication.

Applicants should:

- Have at least several years of experience teaching English to native Chinese language speakers
- Be a native English speaker
- Be able to teach in an innovative and engaging style
- Provide teaching materials
- Work in an independent setting
- Commit to a pre-arranged schedule during the months of August and September

Compensation is competitive with other major English language training programs available in Beijing and will depend on qualifications.

This fundamental English instruction is part of a unique training and capacity building program and is not a for-profit venture.

Please send a cover letter or short message along with a CV or resume to cynrab-training@yahoo.com ASAP.
