Henry Hill...the subject of Nicolas Pileggi's awesome book "Wiseguy"...and Martin Scrosese's equally awesome film "Goodfellas" has left this world...of natural causes.

Whatever else you have to say about the man...if it wasn't for him that movie and that book wouldn't exist. I don't think The Sopranos would either...not it in it's existing form, anyway.

So...thanks, Henry. You weren't exactly a role model...or even a very good person...but you left an indelible mark on pop culture that will probably stay with us forever. And anyone (except perhaps for the people you robbed and/or put in jail) who has ever heard of you can't deny the world was a more interesting place for having you in it.

Crazy but very funny man. There is a Howard Stern show with him on which is hilarious and probably on youtube. He is very likeable from the film and the book but my copy of the book had a foreword by Pileggi which pointed out that him and Henry both wanted people who read the book to know that him and his friends were scumbags

And the film is more Scorcese than anything else

Agreed. Henry Hill, for better or worse, left this world a more interesting place.

Loved Peleggi's very strong voice in the book. You knew when the words were his and when Hill's.

yes, but you have to admit there was a lot more to it than just Scorcese making a cops'n'robbers film. Lot of strong contributors. Including Hill, who, I believe, was an active consultant.
