Where can I find out if/when films come out at the cinema in China?

I really want to see Prometheus and Dark Knight on the big screen but the official sites are all for Europe and America and don't mention China....

...China has cinemas?

Hmm, thought I found a website but it was just the international (U.S.) release date.

Otherwise, our local cinema actually has a website that my GF checks every so often to see what's on.

Oh, and a lot of films don't get official releases in China because, you know, evil foreign propaganda and all that.

Try this site http://www.mtime.com/, it is what I always use to look up movie times and releases here in Beijing. You can select different cities too. It is in Chinese but I imagine you can figure it out.

The cinemas here are quite good in terms of the seating and everything, they do only tend to release the biggest dumbest movies over here tho....

Can't find it on there

A friend who gets quite excited about these things told me that Prometheus will be in theatres on the 8th. It opens on the 7th in HK so... Maybe.

I am super surprised that MIB3 was released in China (btw, just released here in Shenzhen). I know, because we were talking about latest movies in my class yesterday and a student was telling me all about it, including all the TIME TRAVEL stuff!

I haven't been to the cinema so wanted to ask a question.
Do the hollywood (western) movies get dubbed or are they in English with Chinese sub-titles?
I would hate to pay for a movie and they not understand what they are saying.

Both. Just ask.

I heard they made some cuts. Some Chinese people that turned out to be aliens were cut out. Anyone know if this is true?
