Yes, it's an event so awesome that it only comes once a year.  On Saturday, one of the Saloon's most lovely ladies is having her birthday.  Since she's down under in Hoganland where they do everything backwards, she'll be getting one year younger! th_ag

Thanks guys and gals. th_bf It is 6.30am here and I was so happy to get my first Birthday wishes from you. Surprisingly, I am off to the "den of iniquity" today at 10am, so look out security guards! th_u I'll update you tomorrow morning if I'm feeling ok, because I'm going to have some champagne today (courtesy of the Casino). Hope the gout doesn't flare up. th_ao I'll head of at 8am to walk the neighbor's dogs and I'll drop in to see my old world war 2 mate and have a yarn, then home and dress and LOOK OUT BRISBANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! th_ao candyraver dancemj grouphug th_ag th_u

Happy Birthday Granny Mae, those lucky dogs, a birthday walk !! Those lucky security guards birthday kisses all round, hope they're up to it. May those poker machines deafen you with their ching ching of free games, bonus features and coins rattling into the tray!

Well, I survived the day! The pokies were not good to me but I'll catch up another time. th_ah You will be pleased to hear EL that the security guards survived the day also. They had been to a staff party the night before and several were three sheets in the wind. One big Irish guard bent over to do up his shoelace. The temptation was too much, so my neighbor whacked him on the bum with her walking stick. Before we knew it, several guards turned up hoping for a turn. th_ah I'll bet that surveillance tape will be shown at their Xmas party. th_u th_ah As my neighbor spread the word, we had a lot of fun with the rest of the Casino staff since we are pretty well known regulars. The bar staff gave me the top champagne which went straight to my head since I hadn't eaten. I then went and had a nice lunch surrounded by Chinese folk.  When I arrived home, one of the kids from over the road, came to invite me to a barbeque and another neighbor from over the road dropped in with a piece of chocolate cake for my dessert. A happy day except for one thing.... at 7.30am I notice a tingling on my top lip! A bloody cold sore decided to erupt after my not having had one for over two years. th_bi Naturally the guys were not going anywhere near those lips I can tell you th_an Wonder if my dear departed husband Jimmy, had a hand in that little "gift". th_ah  All in all, I had a nice day surrounded by people who tried to make it special. th_bf th_ag candyraver dancemj
