Jumping in here, just discovered I have Spoken ENglish for International Business Majors at Uni 2nd year students.NO BOOK.
(well they gave me a generic book same one handed out to all the ENg teachers in my school)
And they emphasized that it is Spoken and not College Eng whatever than means..
AND.. I have only 8 weeks with them (one class a week) so take off a week or so to test them at the end that makes maximum 6 classes.Any bright ideas?
You can have them practice meetings. Teach them some common phrases, the duties of a chairperson, and have them practice in groups. You can find some meeting scenarios on the Internet, I'm sure.
Maybe some brief presentations (selling something for instance), if the class isn't too large.
