A PM from a new member made me think it would be a good idea to bump this thread. These are now just a few weeks away. Any interest in a Beijing meat-up after the job fair on April 16? I call it a meat-up because we could go eat a bunch of meat (串?) somewhere after the job fair. (And, of course, because we would be meeting in "meat space" )

I might pop along to the GZ one if nothing eventuates here in the next month. Did have a job interview yesterday that went really well, just waiting for them to get back to me about details for a demo lesson.

El Macho, I might go to the Beijing one just for kicks, although I'll have to see about getting a babysitter for the kids since the 16th is my birthday and my husband will want to celebrate with me too.

Are there likely to be non-teaching opportunities there you reckon? I'd like to go to the one in Shanghai, because I'll probably be looking for something to do on a Saturday morning. If it's just an EF booth, a Disney booth, Longman booth and so on it will be a snooze. I haven't been teaching long enough to be sick of the job yet. Still, the only reason I'd go is to make some connections outside of the ESL business.

Let me know. I'll probably only be in and out of the BJ job fair myself as I have morning and afternoon classes that day, but I'll be free in the evening.

Craaap I forgot about Qing Ming, I'm working. Not until 1pm, but if I go I gotta go early and watch the time. I'll still be at the Shanghai one more than likely.
Whoops nevermind, it's not this weekend, but the next.

I would love to meet any of the Saloon members going to the one in Beijing. El Macho, Thanks again for posting the info.
