I'm China bound, just got a job at Neusoft in warm and sunny Shenyang. It's an IT job in my field where I'll be doing project management, Q&A, quality control, and some translation. Couldn't ask for anything better except for a warmer climate, but I'm from Chicago so bad winters aren't too much of a big deal.
Just curious. Why did the company go for a Westerner over a much cheaper local?
I don't believe they did. I'm replacing a westerner they already have there, plus this is a rather large software company with branches in several countries (including the US and Europe) with an employee base of 20,000.
