Grandparents and great-grandparents - I see them with the kids in McDonald's and wonder what they think of all the changes they have experienced.

Great pictures xwarrior.

I'm sure they all have many interesting stories to tell.

I had an uncle, my Mum's oldest brother, who was born in 1901, and lived to the age of 93 years.  I often used to think about all the changes he had seen in Australia in that time.  For one example, he had seen, and could remember seeing Halley's  Comet twice.  Given that it only appears once every seventy five years, that seemed pretty astounding to me.

But, by comparison, I think his experiences have been minimal, alongside what the elderly in China have seen.  It is beyond comprehension to think about all that they have lived through.  So many changes in their lifestyles, their living standards, and then there are the technological advances, that their grandchildren and greatgrandchildren are so comfortable with, and take for granted.

Great pictures xwarrior.

Great photos!
The very elderly were the 2nd most interesting group I saw in China. Wish I'd had more chances and more language ability to talk with them...
