Apropos of nothing (as a defrocked member of the Saloon was fond of saying) the word 'ning' resonated (a word used by the literary establishment to fill in the gap between one 'ummm' and another 'ummm') with Spike Milligan.

SEAGOON: Stop folks; Hello folks, this is Neddie folks. Tinga-ling, ah the telephone folks.

F.X.: PHONE TAKEN OFF HOOK

ECCLES: Hello? SEAGOON Hello?

ECCLES: Snap.

SEAGOON: Splendid, ring again tomorrow and we'll have another game.

BILL: That vacuous little cameo was in the nature of an entrEe to the main steaming ning-nong, plitt platt toof tangg. Ladies and Gentlemen, the Kleens of Blenc~inghall, the story of an ordinary English comedy half-hour.

and in a poem for children:

 On the Ning Nang Nong

On the Ning Nang Nong
Where the Cows go Bong!
and the monkeys all say BOO!
There's a Nong Nang Ning
Where the trees go Ping!
And the tea pots jibber jabber joo.
On the Nong Ning Nang
All the mice go Clang
And you just can't catch 'em when they do!
So its Ning Nang Nong
Cows go Bong!
Nong Nang Ning
Trees go ping
Nong Ning Nang
The mice go Clang
What a noisy place to belong
is the Ning Nang Ning Nang Nong!!

In High School, we had a double period of Maths, first thing Thursday morning. Our Maths teacher was, unfortunately for my Maths education, a Goon fan. The Goon Show was broadcast Wednesday evening! I failed Maths, but was top of the class in Goon Show! Needle, nidle noo! th_ag th_ag th_ag

One's mind = the mind of one. Correct. The T shirt proof-reader must have had Raoul as a teacher lickass.

Apropos of "one's mind" there is a wonderful tweeter on twitter called Elizabeth Windsor purporting to be tweeting for that monarch and s/he uses only "one" as in "if anyone is looking for one, one will be in the bar".

"In melieve" should be a tattoo. It's like an article of self-affirmation.

... I've been *trying* to clear out ye olde hard drive a bit by sweeping up blurry/crap photos and tossing them in the bin ... which is how I found these! Beijing, Beijing, Beijing ...

... this however was found on the rack in the underworld of the CQ women's market(the? more than one seems highly likely...  th_o) ... at any rate -  Who knew the once frozen, lately barely tepid muskeg plains of kanuckistan were so synonymous with mattresses??? Not I.

I wish I could get to damn sleep on this here mattress, as I am well overdue.

Here's an amusing representation of what I wish I were doing right now:  th_aw

Guizhou hills ... my gan ma and I went on walkabout for the freshest of chicken(s)... this little man was all up in the business at hand.  At first, I read his shirt as "WHAT WILL IT MOOK YOU?", and I was like... "Oh, sure. Uh ... it will MOOK me ... a LOT."... but then I realized I had misread.

"WHAT WILL IT MDOK ME?"

EH? Oh, jeez.  No idea what that's about... bu ming bai. th_m
