Praying for Obama

Here's an interesting bit of current affairs from my good neighbours to the south:

I love the part where the pastor is now receiving death threats.  Could this story be used in class as a lesson in irony?

No, they'll figure that out all by themselves.  I was thinking of the irony of giving a death threat to someone because that person was giving out death threats.  Sort of like the anti-abortionist who kills the abortion doctor in the name of pro-life.

Anything coming from FOX News should be taken with a large dose of skepticism. It's pretty much a paid media mouthpiece for the American Far Right. If President Obama were to suddenly develop a universal cure for cancer that would be made available free to all, FOX would be moaning about him heartlessly putting thousands of oncologists and chemotherapy drug producers and cancer centers and funeral homes out of work and damaging our economy...not to mention turning America into a Socialist state by giving it away to everyone who needed it.

My personal heroes, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, spend many hours lampooning FOX News.
