My new apartment
« on: November 04, 2009, 05:55:49 PM »
New apartment - before I move in, while it is still pristine.  This won't last long!  The uni has spent a little fortune on this - I definitely won't be complaining!!   akakakakak akakakakak

Study

Living room

Kitchen - with microwave/grill oven

Dining room

Bedroom 1

Bathroom - double headed shower is nice.   afafafafaf

Laundry

Dining room opening to balcony

The 2nd bedroom has the same outlook as the study, but as yet, has no furniture.  They have said I can take the queen bed I already use, but I would rather have a futon which will be better for parties.  I will take my desk and have it there as well, and use the room as a studio most of the time.

I envy your bookshelves, those are great. My husband is for some reason incredibly opposed to proper bookshelves. Every time we move house we argue over whether to get some or not, and he always wins. He has very sensible reasons for not wanting to invest in huge furniture at this point, but still. I love bookshelves.

Great place LE.

The sofa will fit 2 students lengthways, plus 1 sideways.   akakakakak  Plus Schnerby gave me her good camp bed, so I should be able to toss quite a few students in when we have comps etc.

Looking at the 4th picture, my first thought was, "Cool, a conference table!"

Then I noticed the caption, and my second thought was, "Why would you put a conference table in the dining room?"

About a minute later, "Oh, right! A rectangular dinner table!"

I've been here too long!  ahahahahah ahahahahah

Oooooh that's nice!  akakakakak

Looks like the kind of place you could really enjoy calling home! My place is adequate, but I can't really get it 100% clean.

I'm sure you will love it there.

Wow that place is amazing. How many of you live there? Just makes me realize how crappy my place is. I spent all of yesterday looking for rigid foam insulation so I could block off my second room for the winter because it is totally worthless. Pretty jealous. Enjoy.

Those kitchen cupboards ought to do a good job of waking you up every morning as you stumble around looking for the coffee pot.  ahahahahah

LOVE the shelves in the study.

Lucky, lucky you (except for the actual having to move part).  Enjoy your new home.

Okay, I have a confession to make. I luuurrrrve perving on other FT's apartments here in China! Always so much fun, 'oh wow', and 'mine's bigger than yours' and all that jazz.

Love the bathroom. Nice to see that schools are increasingly providing a proper *shower* facility and not the hose over the loo thing I've had for the last 4 years (have a normal shower here though)! That blood red kitchen will certainly have you wide awake in the mornings too!
