A little look at Virum, Denmark...
« on: August 28, 2009, 03:00:39 AM »
Well, having seen all the beautiful pictures of other places, I feel almost ashamed of posting these. My country is a flat island with lots of fields and cows. Anyway, here is a few pictures of my home, it's surroundings and what I do when I am at home for the holiday.

My home in Virum. It's small but nice.

More of the backyard. I spend too much time in that playing fetch with the dog.

It's long, so the pooch can get a good work-out.

That's the pooch in question. Chili is her name, she's cute and stupid and is afraid of cats. She's also the reason why I think being hung, drawn and quartered is too good a punishment for animal abusers.

I like to do most of my food shopping here. It's a cheap store in central Copenhagen.

I prepare everything before cooking. Hence my love for huge kitchens.

Cooking in progress.

A happy family as a result of spending six hours in the kitchen.

They were still happy and alive after eating....

Home-made chocolate mousse with brandy. White and brown mousse...maybe Schnerby will see these and remember I still owe her dinner agagagagag

Virum looks very verdant and vibrant, ETR.  The perfect place to hang out and recuperate from your exertions in PRC. agagagagag

Thank ye agagagagag agagagagag Well, George, old boy, just for you I will find a field with cows...Here are some more of Virum, these being of the Fure Lake, which I run around with the dog. The yellow building is actually called Næsse Castle, but it's more like a manor house. It was built in 1765. Take a look at the lake and think of this fact: it used to be some aristocrat's backyard...

If the weather is nice and it has been a somewhat hot summer, this is the best place to run off and jump into the water....which is also fun to do when you are drunk agagagagag

As the resident squirrel, it can't be a surprise to anyone I really like trees.

Idyllic, ain't it?

I must say that that looks like a wonderfully happy, prosperous, and handsome family.
Are they your neighbors or something? uuuuuuuuuu

Actually, Jefe, that is a good question. Notice how my dad is bald?? My brother is balding in the same way, my uncle and grandfather was the same....I do sometimes wonder is someone switched me around with some other chap in the maternity ward...

The dog is a character...she's afraid of cats..and she takes great pleasure in waking me up in the morning by jumping deliberately on..err...tender areas of my anatomy...Gah, I miss her already.
