Gum chewing

I hate gum chewing. Why is it so many people cannot manage to chew gum and look decent. Most people resemble a cow chewing their cud. Nothing looks worse than when you see a classy woman smacking away at a piece of gum. A woman came up to talk to me today and she actually blew a bubble in the middle of her sentence (a woman, not an eight year old ). People chew gum at inappropriate time also such as work.

That's my pet peeve for today

I made a student throw out his gum before he answered a question in class.  He rolled it up in paper so I knew he was going to throw it away.  Two minutes after he sat down I saw him chewing again!! 

I agree, it looks like a cow chewing it's cud. 

Think I will go online and find a picture of a cow chewing and post it in the class with the caption "This is what you look like when you chew gum"

Disgusting  habit that I don't allow any of my students to partake in during a class. I see some of my fellow teachers doing the same thing and it makes me sick. If I ever become DOS at my school or hold some other management position I will outlaw it completely at school. It's rather unprofessional.

Wasn't it Ogden Nash who composed a ditty on this and ended it with the note that the only difference was "....the intelligent look on the face of the COW"?!? 

I didn't sweat the gum thing. I was happy if I could keep 'em away from mobile phones, Game Boys, MP4 players, etc. etc. etc.

I'm actually a big fan of gum myself. The way I see it, it's a public service. I'm saving everyone I talk to from my stinky breath! 

Of course I also don't smack it, or pop it, or stick it under tables or anything.

I used to have students chewing " Binglang" during my classes last year. It's a hard, sticky, gooey, smelly piece of wood comes from some kinda tree. That makes em spit all the while.( It's very popular among motor-cycle taxi drivers).
