Anyone else experiencing that special Typhoon Mangkhut weather?


Wheeeee!!!!  If this one was in the Atlantic, they'd have to add a Category 6 to the hurricane scale.

So far, the damage consists of 2 of my trees knocked over and some smaller plants in a nearby pot getting whacked by one of the falling trees.  I've now got both tree pots braced to prevent them from rolling.

Seen some questionable items fly by, including some shade cloth that tried to get entangled in one of my trellises.  No flying sheet metal, yet.

Lost power for 1 hour at lunchtime, but it's been steady since coming back on.

I think most of the worst missed Dongguan.  agagagagag

I've returned both trees to vertical and the sun is out.  Total rainfall from the storm looks to be only 4 or 5 cm here.  I'm waiting to hear more details about how it was at my daughter's university.
