Do All Public Schools Nationwide Use the Same Curriculum, Same Books?

Just curious, since China is so standardized, is there the same curriculum, same books for each Chinese public school, whether the best in Beijing or the outskirts?

I ask because I am just doing some amateur publishing for enrichment programs.  It would be great if creating one lesson great would work for more than one school.

How can I understand this system?

Everything is geared towards gaokao, and the test is being standardized nationwide.

From what I'm told, there may be more than one set of books for each subject/grade level, but there are only a few options for each.
I'm pro-cloning and we vote!               Why isn't this card colored green?
