Camping gear in Shanghai?

Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone knows where I can go shopping for this kind of stuff, or more specifically, a sleeping bag in Shanghai? I'm heading off for hols in the UK in about 4 weeks and will need one, but will be stopping in Shangers the day before my flight.

Had a look downtown in Baoji today but nada, as a figured. Got season 6 of 24 on DVD though !

Hey Becs - Xi'an has several camping gear shops. Greenants is my favourite.  Tents, sleeping bags, everything you could want. The Military shops often have camping stuff in them as well - especially good small tents. Metro has tents and sleeping bags and other bits and pieces. Ren ren Le has sleeping bags.

Yeah...Metro stores everywhere often have some of this. Army surplus stores, found in every city in China, might also have some gear.

It will be very difficult to find a deep selection in many areas, though. As far as I can tell the Chinese don't seem to be big campers. Least not here back East.

Oooh, thanks guys, I didn't think it would be this easy to find! Maybe I can go suck up to the military base just down the road for their supplies, could be interesting...

Will ask students about army disposal stores, had no idea they would have them here!
