Change in New Member Status/Procedures
« on: August 29, 2008, 12:40:19 PM »
Hiya!

Just to let you know...
We're making a slight change to the status and process for incoming new members.

Effective immediately, new members will be given a special status. The name is "Ain't Said Much Yet". New members will have the same rights to read and post that they've always had, but they will not havew access to our Private Message system.

Once we've heard some convincing signs of life from the new member, we'll upgrade their status to 'Member' and they'll be able to use our private messages. They may also be able to access boards on Offer Evaluation and other topics we may want to make available to all Members, but not the public or inactive accounts.
Those who never really post will keep this status indefinitely.

The purpose of this change is part of our continuing efforts to keep our board free of unauthorized recruiting, advertising, unsolicited pestering of members for job leads, and other abuses of our forum. If you have any questions or comments, please send them to Raoul at yochinaraoul@yahoo.com

Regards,
Raoul
and The Raoul's China Saloon (V3.0) Team.
