Troy was good - but "Stretched on your grave"  WOW!!  That is beyond magic even after half a dozens times listening (yeah, I hit repeat!).

SO'Cs acappella stuff is beautiful. 

My favorite Sinead song is "Jealous". so beautiful!

Peter Gabriel in general.  Specifically, Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush "Don't Give Up". Nice.

Yeah, I heard they were best friends.  Toured together last summer. 

Gotta burn some Arctic Monkeys.  Raoul's playing them a lot in the Sham and they crackle.

Yep - someone 'borrowed' my CD so I had to buy another one.  They are good.

I have a fast ska cover of Everybody Knows by Leonard Coen stuck in my head.  It won't leave because a) the arrangement is totally inappropriate to the song, and b) I know all the words.

It did replace a much worse song.  I can't remember what it was, and won't try, lest it pop back in.  I was ready to extract it with a cinder block.

Just finished downloading John Hiatt and waiting for Lyle Lovett to be done...must be all those years I spent being a broadcaster at country music stations, I tend to like the mellower stuff.

Check out Gyroscope, Placebo and Rage against the Machine. Played at the BIG DAY OUT this year, brillian. Gyroscope are a great Western Australian band. Also for some more Aussie bands check out Little Birdie, Missy Higgins, John Butler Trio, Eskimo Joe, Grinspoon, Regurgitator, SilverChair (their old stuff), The Whitlams, and Wolfmother.   

Daughter is at a Rage Against the Machine concert in Osaka as we speak (write).  I had to get back here to leave again tomorrow or I would have been there too.

And for Oz world music - can't beat Sirocco - I was a major groupie.
