I just got my nose pierced. Chinese co-workers didn't bat an eye nor has anyone else.

O, well then that's no big deal. A nose ring on a dude would definitely raise some eyebrows I would think lol

Honestly I don't think that Chinese people bother too much about this stuff. Two of my teachers just got tattoos last week and the reaction from the Chinese students (adults) is that it's cool. As others have said, Chinese people see us differently from the way they see each other.
