There was a Young Lady whose eyes,
Were blind to wisdom and guys;
When she opened them wide,
None could she abide,
And started away in disguise.

is that better??

Technically better, but literally, it sounds very contrived.. The last line doesn't make a lot of sense. "Started" in which sense? ...as in "startled", or as in "begin"? What couldn't she abide? Wisdom or guys??

The come-ons and lies of wiseguys.

I come here each day for a drink
It gives me the time for a think
I really feel fine
When drinking white wine

And of course it was contrived - it was an exam, I hate exams!!

We now know that Lotus is sad
'cause all of her poems are bad
She don't take the time
To count meter or rhyme
She's a failure, and that makes her mad!

soul filled with rime
mouth tastes of lime

Georgie is picking on Lotus
