The weather now is lovely. I just went out for a run and the cool evening made it pleasant. I could run comfortably without sweating buckets.

Snow fights with the students, snow men, BEAUTIFUL scenery.  The world becomes so much more peaceful when it snows, quieter and gentler somehow.

Maximum Temperature -6C (but -7 / -8 most of the day). Windchill at the moment - 16C.  The start of lots of days of thinking seriously about what the temperature is and about what you are wearing before you leave the house.   The canal I can see from my window and walked past this morning is definitely frozen.  And I know that today is not really cold at all (compared to what is to come).  But it is nice and warm inside.

Breezy and about 30oC here in the south.  Able to sleep at night without the air con.  Just now entering the season where the weather is tolerable living here.

 cfcfcfcfcf We've got air & sea temps all in the mid-70s (= mid 20s).  Cool enough for jeans, if you want, but still no need for more than a t-shirt top.  And swimming is less popular, but still possible.

Today was 29C here in Zhaoqing, and like Ruth said, no need for air conditioning at night.  But I am still using a fan on the lowest setting for sleeping.  I wore jeans today, but did not need them.  Looking at 24C tomorrow, and 20C Tuesday, then heading up towards 30C again!!  I am hanging out for winter!!
