CHANGSHU FOREIGN LANGUAGE SCHOOL
« on: May 15, 2007, 02:58:39 AM »
Has anyone ever heard of the Changshu Foreign Language School, or can anyone tell me where exactly Changshu is?  I can't even find it on a map.  As far as I can tell, it is about an hour from Suzhou, but the little information I have found leads me to believe it's a pretty small city based on agriculture.

I was about to blow them off, but I figured I might ask around about them first. Thanks for your help.
Those that think they can, and those that think they can\'t are both right.

Hey Bam,

I don't know this school and I can't find any dirt on them.

Changshu is in southern Jiangsu province, northwest of Shanghai and northeast of Suzhou. It's not so bad, really. It's small...but it's at least a small town in a relatively rich and advanced part of China. You have relatively easy escape valves nearby in Changzhou, Wuxi, Suzhou, and Shanghai. It is too small to have a large expat community of its own.
If you're up for the fishbowl life of a small town, you could do a lot worse than Changshu.

And there are enough of us within bus and train access to make for good times when you need to get out of the fishbowl.

Nope, he didn't. This was last year; he ended up in Suzhou proper. Uh...so to speak. uuuuuuuuuu
