Yeah, I went there around December and it was just fabulous.

We also visited a Miao village - the Miao are much shorter than the average Han and have an amazing sense of humour. They're forever singing and are very superstituous indeed.

FengHuang, although without a rail station, now has a new daily bus service linking it to Changsha, Hunan's capital. I'll hijack this thread and might post some of my pics too if you agree Stil mate?

I went there last year tagging along with some Chinese folks. It was pretty, but very touristy. Luckily, it was 'Chinese touristy' so I didn't get people yelling 'hello' or 'looky looky' at me. I enjoyed it.
