But after five year with a residence permit, you can apply for a Chinese green card...and probably never get it.
We'll see. The regulations are changing in July. Currently you must own a home here, so that puts me out. If it's less restrictive I might try applying.

You will need wedding rings to get married in HK. Doesn't matter how much they cost but you DO need to have rings to exchange.

What problem exactly?  Do they not know about you? Are you thinking about a Hong Kong marriage?

it's a pity that Pangzi never revisited the thread or let us know how things went. It would have been interesting information.
