Anyone have any info on echoenglish.org
« on: July 27, 2015, 02:19:18 AM »
Hi I have spoken to Zoe and an American guy called me so I could ask questions on living in China (he seemed like a nice enough guy)

has anyone had any experience with echoenglish.org what are they like to work for, the accommodation they offer hours of work etc

they have told me the quicker I can get my visa application processed the better and I should apply for it in the UK so I would be ready prior to leaving the UK

They are offering 6000 - 7500/month
apartment including utilities allowance, 3 meals per day
16 hrs a week

thanks

Mike

I have no experience with Echo English, but according to the website it's:
BIG FUN;
BIG ENGLISH;
AWESOME!;
GREAT!;
WOW!; and,
SO COOL!

These 'adjectives' may describe the students' experience... but not necessarily yours as a teacher.

"Three meals a day"... Translation - the housing probably doesn't have a kitchen. Think carefully about the joys of consuming cafeteria slop produced for Chinese rug rats.

Tread carefully... and ask a lot of questions before signing a contract.
