Beacon College (Huanggang Middle School) Guangzhou

So I sent off my CV and cover letter to this place not expecting anything and I get the following back:
"Spring semester starts at the end of February. Would not make much sense for you to come in Jan because then you would have 3 weeks unpaid holiday in Feb.

We offer free accommodation (utilities payable), meal allowances in school canteen, air ticket allowance up to RMB8,000 per year upon completion of Contract (in your case RMB4000 as you would come half term)

What are your salary expectations?"
They have not interviewed me on skype, they have not told me anything about number of hours,size of classes nowt!
What should I answer them?
I have written asking for details of the job,hours,accommodation location etc.
Should I ask them for 20,000? 

Yes. That sort of salary would not be unheard of for a private middle school job in a city in Guangzhou.

So they came back to me with a pretty crappy offer imho.
12,000 for 45 (!) work hours,albeit only 15 contact hours but obviously lots of other pastoral type stuff.Not for me.
It does include apartment and another 4.000 for flight but frankly that's too much work at my age.Also school is in Huadu which is not in downtown GZ.
Back to the drawing board!

I'm not gonna lie, I read this posts title as "bacon" college and then I wanted to go there and get a t-shirt. 

12,000 for a 15/30 teaching split is horrible. That job sounds like it should be in the 20k/month range. Flight reimbursement also sounds low.

…But if they were called Bacon College, it might be worth working there for a little less
