Can anybody recommend some? I'm currently doing some one-to-one lessons with a student who will be going to America to study at university from September. I'd like to find some lessons about university life in America to try and prepare him for it. I often use the British Council website for lesson plans and ideas and was wondering if there are any American sites that do a similar thing? Or if anyone has any other suggestions, drop them here.

Have you tried our Links pages? There are resources there for teaching and learning English...

Who put a stop payment on my reality check?

You could try using university newspapers. Washington Post has a nice education section too.
