Sorry! I just can't imagine Earnest Borgnine and Martin Balsam playing "football".

Some other films "treasures" of mine include-----

The Death Camps....actual footage shot by Allies at the time they liberated those camps.

Skokie.....real-life story of the small town (full of survivors) in USA who objected to KKK demonstration.

Reach for the Sky....story about Douglas Bader (double-amputee pilot)

To Hell and Back......the wartime experiences of Audie Murphy

Fighting Sullivans.....5 brothers who enlist and insist upon being given the same tour of duty

Shanghai Ghetto......Jewish refugees from the camps

and in a lighter note----

Flight of Dragons......magic is dying, and so are the dragons of this world....

Casino Royale....the original....a spoof of the Bond films, with David Niven as Bond, 007

Operation Petticoat.....a pink submarine in the Pacific....with women aboard!  (The progenitor of Down Periscope)

Batteries Not Included.....aliens invade a soon-to-be-demolished-for-big-business-venture family-owned restaurant and apartment building

several classic cartoons from the olde days (1930s)as well as Fractured Flickers, (animated) The Hobbit, Caligula (unrated version), Left Behind, The Robe, The Story of Ruth, Time Bandits, The Dark Crystal
Moderation....in most things...

Yeah I'll go along with "Reach for the Sky" and "Operation Petticoat". Never thought much of Audie Murphy, and haven't seen the others.

The Peanut Butter Solution. It was really old when I was about 12. This kid loses his hair - puts this peanut butter mixture on it and it grows like wild fire. He get stolen and they use his hair to make paint brushes.

Weird. I remember liking it though.  oooooooooo
Courage is not the absense of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear.

Here is a delectable morsel of forgotten cinematic genius: the Advetures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension. It's priceless camp entertainment.
"Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination." Oscar Wilde.

"It's all oojah cum spiffy". Bertie Wooster.
"The stars are God's daisy chain" Madeleine Bassett.
