We have the 15th off, no make ups.  This is nice because Monday is my 6 hour day - 2 x oral English classes, plus my post-grads.

For October Week we work 27th and 28th as make up days, have from 29 - 5th free.

Cheeky, my school doesn't celebrate all holidays, but I'm allowed to take my holidays off as long as I make up the classes.

15th off for Mid-Autumn Day.  Does me no good as I don't have any Monday classes.  Oh well.

Still trying to find out about October week.  I've been told that we have off Monday through Sunday that week.  Were I a newbie I would take that at face value.  But I'm old and cynical and just KNOW that there will be make up classes.  Just can't get an answer on when they will be.

Ruth, I've heard two things about the Oct. holiday. I was first told it was Wed. to the following Tues. Now, I've been told it starts Sept. 29 or something. I think I'll get it straightened out at Monday's meeting.

My current Uni does all the working out of rescheduling due to holidays for me. They do it by having some courses longer than others, with the max courses 16 weeks. It means the classes without days off get shorter terms.

So basically, holidays are for the first time in China, holidays. The students seem happy too.

Maybe this should be under 'what's making me happy'.
Just another roadkill on the information superhighway.
