I just came across this urban mapping tool on virtual china blog (
http://www.virtual-china.org/). Check it out if you haven't already. I provides 360 panorams for most city blocks in Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Suzhou, and Jinan and Wenzhou. Great resource for trying to get a feel of where you might be working/living. English version has v. limited functionality, but its not hard to navigate the chinese version if you have general idea of how the city is laid out and can pick your city's iconic building out of a line up.
