Afternoon in Jinan.

You can tell I'm on holidays, right? Beneath all the grime and rubbish that infests every Chinese city, Jinan is pretty good.
We love gardening.


Our streets are cool and shady.



4 floors of shopping. You can buy almost everything here.

Our shopkeepers are hip and trendy.Grandma loves her Mini....and her little dog!

We celebrate the opening of a new shop in style.

Our street sellers are up with the latest trends.

Good Gourds!


Medicinal insects are freely available.


As are the latest cherry trees.

We also have the world's smallest pagodas.

And everything you need for your fish tank or bonsai.

Tea drinkers are also well-catered for.

It looks absolutely lovely, especially the trees, not many of those in Nei Mongol...I could do without the bugs, though.

It looks quite nice there (I'm a sucker for trees), I guess I should visit some time.  I had a roommate in Hangzhou who studied there for a couple of years and he kept talking about it like it was some small, dirty, backwater town.

Still working, Cheeks, but looking much better. Pics next week. They have decided to install water meters in our apartments, so we will have to pay for water in future. The kitchen is a mess, with a little bear fiddling with pipes, etc. All downstairs has been dug up!! bibibibibi
