The Britishization of Mrs Pickens
« on: November 09, 2008, 04:47:16 PM »
It has been a tough few years, but it has been worth it because Mrs Pickens became a British citizen today.  When they played the national anthem and she went up to collect the certificate I felt a bit choked, I had the feeling that we had really achieved something, we had jumped all the hurdles that they'd put in front of us.

Congratulations to you both.  It's been a long, hard ride and you stayed the course.

Congrats.
A road I don't plan on exploring myself, at least not under foreseeable circumstances.

I'm curious, though...was she given the option of becoming Scottish? bvbvbvbvbv
