I'm definitely going have my high school kiddos read parts of Brave new world in my summer camp this summer. It's as close as you get to teaching them critical thinking (especially about politics) without raising too much suspicion, methinks. However, unfortunately the actual storyline is pretty boring (at least it was to me), the descriptions of the society are the interesting part :-/

Unfortunately, my kids haven't been keeping up with their novels. Ah well.

Have had better luck with poetry though! But I suppose that should be a post all its own.

It's not too late for The Little Prince. Short chapters, interesting story, and a whole lot of meaning packed into that little book.
