The Good Stuff Starts This Weekend!!

George that's no bloody good.  Is Star TV covering it?  Maybe check into a 3 star hotel that has it.  I know they did the GF one year, and my son and I had a very pleasant afternoon in Shanghai Dasha, across the creek from the Bund, watching Brisbane win their first flag.  What made it even better was my brother, an Essendon fan, and his family were arriving in Shanghai that night.  We met 'em out at Pudong and he, being an arrogant Essendon fan, wanted to know how much Essendon had won by.  So we told him, "Negative 24 points!"

You can get Star Sports through the Internet using the TVU Player. Google it and download it. Download and install takes less than 5 minutes, and Bob's your uncle. When you start it up, you'll see a whole slew of channels available. They vary by day, but Star is always there. When you click on a channel, it will take about a minute or two for it to start up as the program and your computer need to establish a streaming cache, but it will connect. And the first minute may be a little choppy (but not as bad as connecting to Youtube from here) but once the stream starts rolling in, it's usually OK after that. Once the stream is going good, I switch to Full Screen view and Bob's MY uncle, too.

Downloaded TVU....it freezes the computer, and "encounters an error"..

Me too right now.

I turned it on earlier and got a message saying a new version was available so I clicked the button and it downloaded and installed and nothing works.

I rolled back to my previous version and it works again.

Hold on. Let me do an internet search and see if I can find a website with the last, best working version of TVU.

Just went to the TVU website and they're pumping the Beta download which is what I got when I logged on, and probably what you got when you downloaded.

As I mentioned in the previous post, the latest Beta messed up my machine, too, so I rolled back to the previous version which has been working for weeks: 2.3.2.34
