Tom Swiftly in China
« on: July 02, 2010, 09:26:17 PM »
These are some of the entries in a Tom Swiftly competition at Neatorama:

Quote
Don't bother me while I'm shucking corn," she said huskily.
"I work for BP" he said slickly.
"I think I'm gay", he said half in earnest.
"I need something to fan the fire with" he bellowed.
"I didn't make the top 10," he moaned listlessly.
"I've dropped the toothpaste," he said crestfallen.
"You're all a bunch of naysayers!" he cried hoarsely.
"Please, no daughter of mine will be a proctologist's wife" Mother pooh-poohed

Maybe you can think of some suitable expessions for Tom if he should arrive Swiftly in China.

L am sure you can do better than:

"I don't like this meat in the Chao Mian," he said doggedly.
I have my standards. They may be low, but I have them.

"This desert is a wee bit on the warm side," he said dryly

"I don't know anything about your pack of hounds," he replied doggedly

"You must stop!" he told me relentlessly

I'm insightful and lovely," he observed acutely

"My coffin is infested!" he said cryptically.

"My eyes! My hands! My nose! My ears!  Nooo, nod my dongue do!" he cried, senselessly.

"Ketchup?" she asked, saucily.
