新年快乐!

大家好!

Well, it sounds like they are dynamiting the city, so I suppose it must be that time of the year again. Happy New Year (again) everyone! I'd like to think this gives me a second chance at my New Years resolutions.

You might remember I posted a while back about a site we were working on, http://www.zhongwenred.com. We've been putting a lot of work into the site lately, and it might be worth taking a look. We're going to be adding more dialogs and explications of the target language for each lesson over the next month, so hopefully it will be even more robust and useful... of course, the site is free and you don't have to register or anything, so it's good for a quick glance in between classes or while waiting around at a net cafe, etc. We added a search feature via Google which works pretty well, so you can find something pretty quickly now.

The few remaining people in Beijing are already celebrating by blowing small pieces of their motherland to kingdom come. Whatever...one thing I like about living here is that I get to celebrate my favourite holiday twice. Looking forward to the fireworks tonight!  agagagagag

Here in Zhaoqing it sounds like all hell has broken loose.  Sort of like a war-zone.  But it is a happy time isn't it.  My friend who arrived from Australia two days ago, and I had a dinner with the head of the English Dept, and his lovely, newly pregnant wife, and his family.  A noisy, family time, that I feel privileged to be invited to be a part of.

Happy Chinese New Year to you all.

Woohoo!  Check the time stamp on my post above.   ababababab

I wish I was in China.  2 years ago, an unofficial fireworks barrage reached the point of having a smoke cloud so thick that the explosions just lit up the cloud.  Kind of like watching a nebula with a severe problem with stars going nova inside.  'Twas cool!!!
