My computer is..err...playing possum?
« on: October 22, 2008, 01:40:28 PM »
Eeeeegggghhh...my computer worked fine last night. Turned it off all proper and normal like. Turned on AC, went to the land of Nod. Woke up this morning to find that my desk was slightly moist, water from AC I figure, and it was under the computer. The computer had been closed, to no water was on the keyboard but, as I tried to turn it on, it was completelyt dead. No response whatsoever.  llllllllll llllllllll llllllllll

I had a similar experience (glass of beer tipped onto laptop).

Perhaps the first thing to try is leaving it in a well ventilated place for two or three days to thoroughly dry out. That worked for me - although I had to get a new keyboard fitted.

Ventilation worked. Although I am not sure I actually dare turn it off again.
