Weather Check

Hot. Overcast. So freaking humid you sweat sitting still. Whatever's going on down south, it's playing silly buggers with the weather here.

We just had a severe thunderstorm / tornado warning.    Lost one branch of a tree but that is all I think.  Still too yucky out to go out to check on any other damage.  I think there was some hale, very heavy rain but I think we missed the tornado.  Still some thunder and lightning but nothing like it was an hour ago.

Those of us down south call it "summer".

It's Winter here in Brisbane Australia. I really feel the cold because I'm on Blood thinners. My hands feel like ice blocks and I'm just getting over a runny nose which has left me with a cold sore under under my nose. I had my annual flu needle a couple of months ago.  What a shame we can't time travel and I could soak up some warmth for an hour and you folks could escape the bad storms.

OK.  We are officially in the HotSummer Times.  Temperatures reach mid-80s, but feel like mid-90s    Step out of the shower, towel off, and the energy used starts you sweating  A/C is pretty much the only answer, but that raises the electricity bill  to astronomical heights. Fans help.  Sort of.  A bit.  But mostly, it's DoAsLittleAsPossible and PrayForRain Time

GM, I'd be happy to ship you a little of the excess summer heat in DG.

Thanks EL, I could sure use it. The temperature dropped in Brisbane last night so I will enjoy being in the warm today at the movies.

El, sounds nasty mate. I reckon that you would be as prepared as you could be for any bad weather situations. By the way, just don't go running naked in the streets, because it might end up on the NEWS in OZ!

Aw man, I should have read GM's advice sooner.

So far, it's not too bad.  Light rain and breezy. According to weather.com, the winds should start ramping up and the thunderstorms will kick in around 2-ish.

Keep us updated EL!

It's wet.  Some of my sorghum broke in the wind.  Other than that, no damage here.
