I have been getting ready to return to China and am checking medical insurance policies. I have just found one that seems to be extremely useful, and wondered if anyone else has used this company.
It is MedEx
http://www.medexassist.com/And their policy for an individual with 50K USD coverage with a $100 USD deductible is a paltry $2.49 USD per day. This adds up to around $908 USD per year, and can be bought in small bites. When I talked to the woman at the phone, I found that coverage was very flexible, even covering hiring a care-giver should I have to be hospitalized or a non-medical companion for evacuation help if medevac helicopter is not needed and a commercial airline will do -- so it seems to be a HUMAN company.
Drawbacks: does not cover a motorcycle accident, including an e-bike (or anything that has a motor). Will cover a bike accident.
The reason I am asking is that it seems to be almost too good to be true.
Are there other companies people have had good/bad luck with?
