Mid-range electric scooter. That's what most people would end up getting. There was a fad briefly for electric bikes kitted out like sports motorcycles that you could lean forward on and pretend to be racing, but the majority get and use the more traditional shape that make you sit bolt upright. Don't know how much they cost.
If anyone's getting a pedal bicycle, they probably opt for an entry level mtb style bike from Giant or Merida at a price of 2-to-4 thousand rmb. By and large they're rugged, robust, functional machine that will last years. (My current Merida is going on ten years old and still fully functional.) There are higher end bikes available, but just as in the western world, they're for people who shave their legs and are priced accordingly. Lower end bikes also exist, obviously, but you're flirting with the crappy component end of the market then and their longevity is questionable. That said, I did once buy a simple single speed bike with a wide seat and a basket at the front and used it to commute between apartment and workplace. It required some attention but it worked well enough for about six months anyway.
As for motorcycles... they're kind of disappearing, aren't they? They require licenses and are significantly more regulated than both pedal and e-bikes. People still ride them, I guess. Mostly as moto-taxis.
