Election! Our chance to become nice people again.
« on: October 15, 2007, 12:23:20 AM »
Slimeball howard has finally called the Federal Election! Ideally, he and his fellow slime will be chucked out on their ears, with howard losing his precious seat. During the time these racists have been in Office, the reputation of Australia and Australians has been dragged through the mud. It's time to regain respect in the eyes of the real world, and this is the biggest job Kevin Rudd faces. Unfortunately, I'm not sure he will do it.

I have to check with the Embassy to see if my previous registration covers me now.  If it doesn't I shall weep buckets. This election is too important NOT to vote. The b***d needs to go and SOONEST!

He has made it shameful to be Australian.

Unfortunately, I'm not on any Electoral Roll, so My Fellow Australians will have to vote for me.

Oops!
From the thread title I thought maybe there was a referendum on whether to give all Australians mandatory doses of Prozac or some such.

Unfortunately, due to a new legislation, registration must have been completed by close of business today, Monday 15th of Oct. Also, any new tenant registering deletes old registration at that address. Therefore, many of the young, unemployed, new voters, people who move around a lot, etc will be unable to vote. Since virtually all of these will vote against the current govt, the plot thickens. Many feel that is the reason for the current announcement coinciding with the passing of the legislation.

Nice one, Mr Howard!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I say we all vote against Bush, that way Howard will have no power anyway......

We can vote in the USAnian election, can't we? I mean, they don't vote in their own....
Just another roadkill on the information superhighway.

If we do I will be even more ashamed of being an Aussie.

Our last election was 2004.  Not sooo frequent.  We go to the polls every 3 years-ish.  There is some freedom about when to call an election - you can call an early election if you figure you will win, but you can't go past a certain length of time to call an election.

Not according to the polls.  But we'll see.  I will be glued to the computer as the results come out. Champagne at the ready for victory, baijiu for misery.

Yes, Bugs....at some undertermined time in the far future, when he is assured that the country is in safe hands.
(Translation......He's still got more damage to do)
It has always been Howard's thing to put his ego first!!
