Tianjin University of Commerce Boustead College is currently seeking
dedicated English teachers. We are looking for teachers who are willing to
sign a one-year contract and can start by early-to-mid September 2007.
The position will involve teaching oral and written English to classes (30
to 40 students) of college-age students who are generally of
lower-intermediate or false-beginner level. You would normally teach 24
academic hours per week (12 classes of 90 minutes each.) All classes are
conducted between 8:30 a.m. and 4.45 p.m., Monday to Friday. Teachers do
not have to remain on campus if they have no classes. The college tries to
arrange class schedules according to the preferences of the teachers,
where possible.

The college is located on the south-western edge of the city proper. It
currently has 5800 full-time students enrolled in four-year degree
programs. Most of the classes taught by foreign teachers are given to
students majoring in English or Hospitality Management.

This position offers the right person a great deal of freedom and
independence. This includes the ability to choose your own housing.
Applicants should:
* Be a native speaker of English from one of the following countries: the
US, the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, South Africa.
* Hold at least a Bachelor's Degree (with TESOL/TEFL certification
preferred.)
* Have at least one year's teaching experience, preferably with large
classes.
* Be easygoing, mature and independent.
Candidates without the required experience will still be considered if
they hold a recognised TESOL/TEFL certificate.

Boustead College offer:
* Basic salary, and housing allowance of 2800 RMB per month <Don't panic! Keep readin'...>
* Additional 80 RMB fee per 45-minute period worked
* Round-trip airline ticket (up to 8000 RMB)
* Lunch allowance of 130 RMB per month during term time
* Long winter and summer vacations
* Airport pickup
* Local medical insurance
During term time, teachers generally earn in excess of 10,000 RMB per
month before tax.
