While I think I will probably head relatively rural (Nanyang, Henan Province), I would like a city option too.

It seems to get students from foreign schools visiting, including a rather exclusive Melbourne school.

I am waiting on return emails from current teachers.

It is a state/private joint venture.
I haven't seen the contract yet.

As far as I can see I would be teaching little kiddies, a bit too young to be preparing for university.

Although I'm really just seeking opinion. As per usual I bow to the saloon's deep pool of knowledge, experience and mouldy dairy products.

 

I know nothing about the working conditions there, but did ask my Chinese teacher mates and they say this school has a good reputation, that the teachers there are paid more than I am and that a number of classes are taught in English rather than Chinese.  There is apparently a couple of campuses, one with international students on it.  There are also other foreign teachers.

Could be a good gig.
