wow - seeing Beijing sandstorm I think I am quite happy about the rain here in Germany

Raining in Jinan, as well. Just like Beijing, only wet!!

Some snow in Changchun this morning and more tonight, I think, but Noles wines the sympathy.  Thanks goodness we've only had that thing's wimpy little sister.

2-day long, late-winter gales

it's gotten slightly better as the day progressed. we're back to nasty winds and normal color smoggy sky right now... never thought saying that would constitute a positive ever..

Absolutely a brilliant day for staying in bed and reading.  Slightly chilly - enough to make snuggling up nice, but not so cold to be uncomfortable - a little wet and overcast.  And Saturday - no work!! 

BBQ this afternoon if it clears up (or mulled wine if it doesn't!).

it's absolutely disgusting today in beijing! Cold, wet, grey, overcast and low visibility... is it too much to ask for a little sunshine 

Shorts, t-shirts, sun glasses, bbq and beer down here in Shenzhen.

Cold and miserable in Jinan....and naturally, the heating has been decreed unnecessary!!
